THE Spanish design and beauty may be seen in passing the Hollywood Studios
on Santa Monica boulevard in Hollywood. There are walls around it of old
Spanish modeling, and the office that faces the street has the quaint iron
gratings at the windows.
The studio is laid out so as to accommodate companies wishing to lease
space during the making of a film. Each unit has its own office building,
its own stage or part of one and its own projection room. There are four
glass - inclosed stages. The dimensions will allow two producing companies
to be working on the same stage at the same time.
In front of each glass stage is a small bungalowlike building that shelters
offices for two producing units. Some big companies occupy both parts of
the structure. The dressing rooms are also allotted in units. |
